MEGAN RACHEL: My ultimate goal is to help my clients through what could potentially be one of the most difficult times in their lives. When I'm handling a family law case, I generally, the first thing I do is bring my clients in and we sit down and we, together, determine what their goals are. What they want to accomplish through their case.
I'm absolutely willing to take a case to final trial if that's what needs to happen to be able to get my client what they need, or what they want out of a case. I see trial as an absolute last resort in a family law case and I think most of my clients appreciate the fact that I do everything I can to help them achieve their goals and to help keep them in control of their case without the necessity of going to trial.
When a party is going through a divorce action or any type of action involving children their interest is my top priority. And I always try and make sure that is my clients' top priority. In a week's time if I can help one client through a difficult divorce where they've been able to reach their goals and yet maintain their dignity and they have a positive feel about the overall process, and me, then I feel I've accomplished a lot.
